Current Support Level 47%

August started with lots of ambiguity and ends with a little more clarity, at least for the immediate future.  Many people continue to ask when we are leaving for Australia.  Our desire would be to go this fall, but we must be fully supported before we go, so please pray for wisdom and boldness in support discovery.  We are excited and passionate about this new venture God has us involved in and we want to communicate that to others.

This last month has seen us based in and around the Pacific Northwest.  After the camp at the start of the month, we stayed in Camas, WA for a couple of weeks, allowing Brian some much needed time in the office.  Thank you Phil and Danielle for your gracious hospitality!  You have been wonderful and we are deeply grateful for allowing us to make ourselves at home in your home.  We also spent some time in Everett, WA and in Dayton, WA.  We also had the opportunity to take the whole service at a church in Prescott, WA last weekend.

When we have been proactive in discussing this new opportunity with people, we have seen God move and folks have been responsive.  We have had four new families partner with us in the last couple of weeks and the church in Prescott, WA is currently considering partnering with us as well.  God also provided in another amazing way this month.  The gentleman who purchased a guitar for us to use in July wanted to make sure we didn’t just have a guitar to get us by, but one that we could use for years to come.  So, he purchased a beautiful, black Takamine 12-string with built in pickup and tuner and gave it to us.  I haven’t been able to play it heaps yet, but I like the action and the sound!  What a great God story!  Each time it is played and used in ministry, God will get the praise and the glory!

You can be praying for the family.  As much as people invite you to be at home in their homes, it can be challenging when you’re bouncing around and staying with others.  Please pray that God would sustain us and that we would be a blessing to those that open their homes and lives to us.

I’ve listed our schedule for the next few weeks below.  If we’re going to be in your area, we’d love to connect with you!  If you did not receive our latest snail mail newsletter, please let me know and I’ll forward a copy to you.

Thank you again for partnering with us as we gear up to equip and engage National leaders to mobilize churches to mission!  You are a vital partner as you pray, encourage and give.  Thank you!

Thought for the Day: “To say the church is an awesome resource is still an understatement, possibly somewhat condescending.  She is more than that.  She is a God-designed central player, a full partner…

The vast majority of all the resources God has entrusted to his people – spiritual gifts, vocational expertise, life experience, capacity for spiritual warfare, financial reserves, etc. – he has placed in the local churches.”   --George Miley, author of Loving the Church, Blessing the Nations
