Boomers Plus Ministry

We call our ministry to seniors the "Boomers Plus Ministry," comprised of an active retired & semi-retired senior age group of people who meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month (except November) for fellowship and support. We have a variety of luncheon programs and day trips within the local area. Our Christmas luncheon is usually scheduled early in December with a special speaker and is held at a local restaurant. We seek to meet annually with the youth of the church to establish relationships and support them with prayer. We invite all retired & semi-retired friends and members of the church to be a part of our time together.

Boomers Goals:

Fellowship and Support
1. Monthly meetings and day trips
2. Phone calls to seniors who don’t attend by active participants
3. Visit more of the people who can no longer attend church

Adopt a family
1. Find out needs of family
2. Available to advise
3. Pray for them on a regular basis

Praying for the Youth of Laurelwood
1. Meet once a year with the youth
2. Get monthly requests
3. Seek personal contact from time to time either by seeing them at church or by telephone
