Upcoming Trip, Medical Mission to Chennai India

Laurelwood is presently planning to send a short term team to India at the beginning of November, 2010. We are interested in those with experience in medical care: doctors, nurses, PA’s, dentists, etc. In addition there will be a need for other support personnel and the possibility of making/offering reading glasses. We will be partnering with DELTA Ministries as well as our missionaries to India; George and Molly Varghese with Timothy Ministries.

India Medical Missions Trip, 2010 Update • Our team will be based in Chennai serving on the field November 1-14. • The approximate cost is $2800 which includes all transportation, meals, accommodations from Portland, OR to our return. • Team application forms are available upon request. • There will be five days of clinic for the team. The clinics will be in different locations on each day. Set up and tear down provided by the support team. Medical care provided by the medical team. Each clinic will have translators who will assist both in the medical examinations as well as registering patients. • There will be training for the trip, opportunities to work together, as well as suggestions for support discovery as we continue to prepare.
