What is Good Grief?
Beginning October 14

Can grief ever be a good thing? This is the four week class for all those who have either experienced grief or have wanted to help their friends or family go through their grief. In a dialogue format we will Biblically explore the following topics; what is grief, facing your grief, working through your grief, and ministering to those in grief. Following this class we will schedule a “Service of Remembrance” as a support and help for those working through their losses. This will be taught by Pastor Mike in Room 5 (the old coffee room and library). He guarantees a safe environment and all the Kleenex you need. You can pre-register by e-mailing the office. Women Of Worship:
Tuesday morning study is on “Daniel-Lives of Integrity, Words of Prophecy” by Beth Moore and “Precepts” study of Revelation at LBC from 9:15-11:30am.

Tuesday evening study is on “The Patriarchs” at the Dombrows from 7-9pm the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.

Laurelwood kids and their friends ages 4-11 participate in this program held at the church from September through May. During this time, kids experience worship music, bible verses and a lesson. We also have snack time, game time and various activities for the children to have fellowship with each other and for the coaches to build relationships with the kids. Materials used are from Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). The cost for participating for the coming year is $5.00. The goal of this ministry is to disciple Christian boys and girls and provide opportunities for service. It is also the desire to reach out to kids who don’t have a church home and encourage kids to invite their friends and neighbors. Contact Leng Halstead for more information and to sign-up
